Yesterday,July 12, 2024, CHIGEE announced the long-awaited firmware version 2.8.0 announced. As an avid user of the AIO-5 system, I was immediately curious to see what the new update would bring.

The new features and improvements in the AIO-5 Lite v2.8.0 firmware are promising:
- CGRC CAN: Adds a vertical scroll wheel control mode (must be enabled in the remote control settings).
- CGRC LIN (for BMW): Added support for remote control.
- Rear View Camera: Display added during blind spot detection (adjustable in BSD function settings).
- Tire tension: Front and rear tire pressure can be set individually.
- Online activation: Can now be activated online via the device, no telephone connection required.
- Language updates: Added: Danish, Polish, Chinese.
- Other bug fixes: Various bug fixes and performance improvements.

How to Update to v2.8.0
- Go to [Settings] > [Features] > [Update] > [Check the test version].
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi network or mobile hotspot to start the upgrade.
- Make sure your device has a formatted SD card inserted (compatible with 8GB-256GB) before starting the OTA update.
Although the new features are attractive, there seems to be a problem with the availability of the update. Should you experience the same problem, we recommend submitting a ticket to CHIGEE for further support. We hope the update will be available soon and the new features can be used without any problems.
