We at Blue Rider also sometimes go on motorcycle vacations and sometimes you learn great things in practice. During our motorcycle vacation to Norway, I had two drybags with me for the first time. I used one drybag for a set of clothes I could grab quickly and in the other I had my tent. I mounted one drybag on top of my BMW buddy bag and the second drybag I put in my side case.
The drybag is perfectly made for the side case
My clothes, to change myself after a long day of riding, were always there for the taking. The other drybag ensured that my tent stayed nice and dry and did not have to be stuffed into a "just a little too small bag" every time. With us, it was just a matter of packing up and riding.
When you arrive at a perfect spot, I always want to get my motorcycle gear off asap.
At some point we came up with the smart idea to wash our clothes in a drybag, this works perfectly and a drybag dries quickly if you hang it upside down. The advantage is that it also dries inside when it rains because the outside does not let or attract moisture (made of PVC).
The tent was always on top but could never get wet in the drybag
The second clever moment came on a hot day when we really needed some cold drinks. We scooped the drybag full of water and threw 4 bottles of drinks in there. Wonderfully cooling.
The drybag applications:
- Useful for clothes because they don't get wet or damp
- Ideal as a laundry bag for washing clothes
- Dries very quickly inside even when it is raining outside
- Can be used to cool food or drinks
- Your sleeping bag can also be easily stored in the drybag (always stays dry)
- The tent also fits in the drybag, no hassle with the just too small tent bag to get everything back in. The tent also stays nice and dry on the back of the bike.
