CI Pad v4 and v4b operating system update Android 11

Progress update: We are very sorry that we have not been able to keep the planned update to Android 11 on schedule, but we have unfortunately encountered some obstacles with OTA updates for units already in circulation. During testing, we found that the update fails on some units. We are working very hard to resolve this and we sincerely believe that we are only days away from finally resolving that issue.

Because of this unexpected problem, we are unfortunately behind on other features for Android 11, which will be released after the initial rollout (you don't have to reinstall everything, it will already be a standard update as you are used to on your regular cell phone). TO DO list for future updates (and features not included in the first rollout):

Automatic GNSS configuration. We have made major changes to the GNSS system driver for better performance. For the changes to take effect, the GNSS chip must be reconfigured. On initial rollout, this must be done manually via the pre-installed GPSTune 3 app. The same applies to applying GNSS auxiliary data.
Calibration of the hardware compass.
Automatic startup/automatic shutdown.
Battery charging limitation.
General information:

In addition to the obvious changes (Android 11 instead of Android 9 operating system), there will be the following basic changes (some features may be implemented later after the primary update release):

Updated Webview (no more Kurviger issues).
Removed rooting (no more Rally Roadbooks by Terrapiata issues).
Updated uploading algorithms.
Updated battery level indicator.
Removal of DMD.
Significantly improved GNSS performance (GPS will be much better).
Google services fixed - no more synchronization problems with contacts and other problems.

During this update, the CI Pad is completely wiped - BACK-UP any data you don't want to lose. Once the update process begins, there is no way to reverse it. Unfortunately, there is no other way because we have to format the data storage. But in the future this will no longer be necessary, because we also have a proper recovery partition built in.
