When the BMW F 650 hit the market, people had to get very used to it. After all, the BMW no longer had shaft drive and the engine was not developed in-house. Above all, the F 650 had to be light and agile, and it succeeded!
The F 650 ST (strada) was introduced around 1994 and entered the light street-oriented all-road segment. Despite sharing tremendously with the F 650, it received a few minor modifications such as a high fairing, lower seat position and street tires.
Since the F 650 ST rolled out of the factory fairly bare, quite a few accessories were developed to "upgrade" it. Its reliability and maneuverability make it a widely used motorcycle in the city but also suitable for long trips. It is not really a pack mule but still you can fully equip it with many different luggage options and accessories.
