The UNIT Garage R12 G/S Dakar Kit is a tribute to the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally. The history of Unit Garage is closely linked to this rally, in which founder Fabio Marcaccini drove five editions in the 1980s.

When BMW launched the R12 G/S, we immediately wanted to interpret the classic Dakar style in a modern way. This motorcycle provides the perfect canvas to re-create an icon, following our philosophy of combining tradition and innovation.

The kit is easy and fully reversible to assemble. Transform your R12 G/S into an R12 G/S Dakar in a few hours with the included manual and video tutorials. No modifications to the original parts are required and the process is fully reversible.

Technical specifications and information:

  • Larger nylon tank with a capacity of about 25 liters (10 liters more than original), good for a range of more than 450 km

  • 1.7 kg lighter than the original tank

  • Available Sprayed with graphics under clear coating or in primer for your own customization

  • Tank cap, fuel pump and activated carbon filter (canister) remain original

  • Spare indicator light continues to function, no modifications required

  • Includes all mounting brackets for the new tank

  • Compatible with most tubular engine guards

  • Designed for optimal ergonomic profile

  • Suitable for all routes, from African rallies to tourist use
